Reinforce Hood - lip412 viewsQuick and dirty alternative to pulling the liner for full reinforcement. Reinforce all around the lip. Use silica filler to smooth bondline. Double up front corners. Used 2" fiberglass tape.
Update - this hood is now trashed. In retrospect, I should have pulled the liner for complete reinforment and somewhat filled gap between inner and outer lip. Updated pics on Mike's hood to follow...

Cut away and remove foam, You need to remove about 8" of foam from the back. Try to save for re-use later so cut apart in large chunnks. I used a 12" saws-all blade, by hand.

You can not wrap the transon down and around the chine of the hull without either changing the chime or grinding the hull down.
