Purpose: Shallow East Coast surf eats jetski noses for breakfast when tricks such as the nose stab, backflip, or re-entry land too steep (aka: lawn dart). Superjet hulls are very weak before they are reinforced and it does not take much to crush the nose in the sand. A couple extra layers of fiberglass is great insurance, and of course is often required.
Recommended for: All Superjet owners interested in shredding some surf.

Junkie Swap eBox
Purpose: The purpose of this mod is the facilitate the quick and independent swapping of Yamaha motors and electrical boxes. 99.9% of all Yamaha motors have their stator and positive starter wires hard-wired to the electrical box. This mod will work on all 650, 701, and 760 motors, possibly others; although, mix-matching cdi's between motors may affect performance - ask around in the trash talk forum for more info.
Recommended for: Any wrencher needing quick and independent swap motor/ebox swapping capabilities. All wavejunkies should highly consider this mod for assistance with troubleshooting.

Description: A successful nose stab involves launching your ski vertical off the face of a wave and bringing it up and over to nose it back into the water. This article applies to standups as well as sitdowns. Once this trick is dialed in, it leaves some nice room for personal style.
Difficulty: Difficult Requirements: Deep water so you don't lawn dart, footholds/footstraps, and the quick-steer mod is recommended. And of course, a helmet! |

Purpose: The purpose of foot straps are to lock the rider's feet in place so that he may better control the rear of the ski during aerial maneuvers. They may be placed just about anywhere in a standup's tray allowing for various stances including surf-style.
Recommended for: Straps may be an alternative or a complement to footwells on standups, and are highly recommended on blasters (B1's). I recommend my standup installation method for any standups using 25mm turf underpadding so that the straps will mount mostly flush with the top of the turf. You might not want to use 7/8" bar on wimpy 5mm padding... |
